For a long time, African youth friends have expressed their strong interest in spaceflight and desire to "fly into space". Now we have the chance and are willing to actively help the "African Dreams" fly into the vast space.

From March 1, the Chinese Follow-up Committee of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the China Manned Space Engineering Office will jointly hold a painting competition under the theme "My Dream". Eritrean youth are sincerely invited to take part in this competition by drawing hopes and dreams on the picture and send them to us. 

The Chinese and African side will jointly appraise and finally select 10 winners of the Tianhe Prize (First Prize), 15 winners of the Wentian Prize (Second Prize) and 25 winners of the Mengtian Prize (Third Prize). The winners will be awarded trophies and bonuses. Among these award-winning paintings, 10 outstanding works will take the Shenzhou spaceship to the Tiangong Space Station this year, and will be shown live on social medias globally.

To take part in the competition, please send your paintings to the Chinese Embassy in Eritrea before March 25. It is to be noted that the drawing paper size shall not exceed A3, and painting title, painter’s name, contact information and 200-word introduction of the painting are also required.
