"We stand together!" Eritrean student in China donate for the battle against COVID-19

On February 11, a young man came to a police station in Guiyang city, the capital of Guizhou province in China and took out 500 RMB (around 72 USD) from pocket and said, Officer, I want to donate the money to Wuhan city.

This young man was received by the officer in the station. He explained that he didn't know about donation channel, so he came to the police to ask for help. After explaination, the young man left 500 RMB and a memo with some words to the officer : "We stand together! I am a student from Africa and now I am studying in China. Though I have no income as a student, I want to do my best to support China and Chinese people in the battle against the novel corona virus. China, hang on! Wuhan, hang on!" with a signature: Eritrea.

As learned from the Guizhou Normal University later, the young man came from Eritrea and now is studying in this university. His name is Berhene Tsigehannes. The money he donated came from the living allowances provided by his university monthly. This money has already been transferred to Wuhan Charity Headquarter and will be used as a part of the Special Prevention and Control Fund against COVID-19.
